Safety instructions for your HEAT.me all-in-one lunchbox kit
The safe use of your HEAT.me all-in-one lunchbox kit is important to us. Please read the following instructions carefully:
- Safety of children: Keep all components, especially HEAT.me pads and HEATRings, out of the reach of children. Children under the age of 14 may only use the kit under adult supervision. Always keep children at a safe distance from the grill and never leave the grill unattended.
- Risk of burns and scalding:
- Heating pads: The HEAT.me pads can reach temperatures of up to 95°C. Do not touch them during or immediately after heating.
- Steam: Keep your hands and face away from the steam valve when heating food to avoid scalding.
- Hot surfaces: Only place the lunch box (especially the grill box) on heat-resistant surfaces or the silicone coaster provided to avoid damage to sensitive surfaces.
- Danger from gases and naked flames:
- Barbecue: DANGER TO LIFE FROM CARBON MONOXIDE! Only grill outdoors - never in closed rooms, tents or vehicles.
- Heating pads: The HEAT.me pads release a small amount of flammable hydrogen gas on contact with water. Only use the product in well-ventilated areas and keep it away from ignition sources such as fire, sparks or open flames. Do not smoke during use.
- Notes on HEATRings (grilling):
- Storage: Keep HEATRings dry, cool and out of the reach of children. Do not open prematurely - contact with air or moisture can impair the ignitability.
- Disposal: Ash remains after the barbecue. Only dispose of these when they have cooled down completely (in the household waste or as wood ash in the garden).
- Kindling: The HEATRings are self-igniting - please do not use any additional ignition aids.
- Handling the lunchboxes:
- The lunchboxes may not in the microwave (metal can cause sparks).
- Do not use the lunch boxes in the oven either, as the high temperatures can damage seals and other parts.
- Do not store highly acidic foods (such as vinegar or citrus fruits) in the stainless steel lunch box for long periods as this can lead to discoloration.
- Do not use sharp utensils in the lunch boxes to avoid damaging the surfaces.

How mobile are the HEAT.me kits really?
Our HEAT.me kits are extremely mobile - and that's one of their biggest advantages! They have been developed to accompany you wherever you go, whether to the office, the building site, the park or on your next road trip. The kits are not only compact, but also cleverly designed: both the GRILL & CHILL lunch box (approx. 700g) and the lunch box of the Premium Lunchbox Kit (approx. 230g complete, the basic kit even only 100g) also offer space for the food you want to prepare or heat up directly in them.
All our kits fit easily into any rucksack, but also into bike or shoulder bags. Especially on hikes or tours where every gram counts, the HEAT.me Lunchbox Kit is the most mobile and lightest system of all. The accompanying lunch bag, the dosing bottle and the heating pad are so minimalist and light that they hardly add to the overall weight of the meal. In fact, the heating pad and lunch bag together fit in any trouser pocket! For motorcyclists, our kits are a dream, as they also fit perfectly in any saddlebag. You get the full function - whether heating, cooling or grilling - packed into a compact, stylish format that really can go anywhere.
How does heating with the HEAT.me pads work?
Heating your food is easy and takes just a few steps: First, place a HEAT.me heating pad (with protective cover) on the base of your lunchbox (e.g. the Premium Lunchbox or the GRILL & CHILL Lunchbox). Then pour 60 ml of water from the dosing bottle over the heating pad and place your filled 800 ml Premium Lunchbox directly on top. Finally, close the lunchbox.
The temperature that your food reaches depends mainly on two factors: the consistency of the food and the ambient temperature. In colder environments, heating takes a little longer and the final temperature may be lower than in warmer environments. Liquid dishes such as soups are generally hotter than very solid dishes.
Practical examples:
- Soups: approx. 70-80 °C
- Pasta dishes: approx. 65-70 °C
- Solid foods such as falafel, meatballs or schnitzel: approx. 55-65 °C
A soup is hot after around 15 minutes, and pre-cooked or ready meals are hot after 20 to 30 minutes. We recommend using the grill function on your HEAT.me Grill & CHILL lunch box for very firm food that you want to enjoy particularly hot.
How does grilling with HEATRings work?
Grilling with the HEATRings is quick and easy: You place the HEATRings on the charcoal grid of your GRILL & CHILL lunchbox. The HEATRings are self-igniting and ready to grill in just 5 minutes as soon as the charcoal has a white layer of ash.
You need 12 quick-ignition HEATRings for a barbecue. A practical additional benefit: You can also make an espresso for 2 people with just 6 HEATRings. Always remember that barbecues must only be used outdoors - never in closed rooms, tents or vehicles, as there is a danger to life from carbon monoxide.
How long does the COOL.me cold pack keep the cold?
The cooling time of your COOL.me cool pack depends on various factors, especially the ambient temperature and whether you have pre-cooled your chilled goods in the fridge. At a typical room temperature of 22°C, the cool pack maintains an effective cooling capacity for around 4 hours.

Care instructions for your HEAT.me all-in-one lunchbox kit
Proper care ensures the longevity and hygiene of your HEAT.me all-in-one lunchbox kit. Please observe the following instructions for optimum cleaning and maintenance of all components:
Cleaning the lunchboxes
- GRILL & CHILL lunchbox:
- Dishwasher safe: The GRILL & CHILL lunch box is completely dishwasher-safe without any restrictions.
- Hand cleaning: You can also clean them by hand with warm water and a little washing-up liquid to remove carbon and grease residues or to protect the material.
- Carbon and grease residues: Allow the ash and fat to cool completely. You can remove coarse residues in advance with kitchen paper. Stubborn stains are best softened with warm water and washing-up liquid and then removed with a brush or sponge.
- When to clean: Always clean the lunch box after each use as soon as it has cooled down completely.
- Stainless steel lunch box (from the Premium Kit):
- Dishwasher safe: You can easily clean the stainless steel lunch box in the dishwasher.
- Hand cleaning: Alternatively, warm water with a little washing-up liquid is sufficient.
- Avoid water stains: To prevent unsightly limescale stains, dry the stainless steel lunch box immediately after washing with a soft cloth or allow it to air dry well.
Cleaning accessories
- Lunch bag and protective cover (booster cover):
- Suitable for washing machines: Both the TPU lunch bag and the protective cover can be washed in the washing machine at 30°C. It is best to use a laundry net to protect the materials.
- Drying: Simply leave them to air dry after washing - do not put them in the dryer as the heat could damage the material.
- Water bottle:
- Hand cleaning: The PET water bottle is best washed by hand with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. A bottle brush helps to thoroughly clean the base.
- Not dishwasher safe: The bottle is not suitable for the dishwasher as the heat could deform the material.
General information on longevity
- Shock sensitivity: Although our lunch boxes are robustly constructed, heavy impacts or dropping can lead to dents or damage. Handle your kit with care.
- Acidic foods: Do not store highly acidic foods (such as vinegar or citrus fruits) in the stainless steel lunch box for long periods as this can lead to discoloration.
- Sharp utensils: Do not use sharp utensils in the lunch boxes to avoid damaging the surfaces.
- Long operational readiness: By cleaning all components regularly and correctly, your HEAT.me kit will remain hygienically clean for a long time and always ready for all your adventures.

Heating Food: It's Simple in 3 Steps
Fill lunchbox
Fill the small lunchbox from the Premium Lunchbox Kit with your favorite dish and add a small splash of water to the food—this ensures even heating. Close the lid tightly and make sure the freshness valve is closed.
Activate heating pad
Place the heating pad in the protective cover and place both in your GRILL & CHILL lunchbox. Now pour 60 ml of water onto the pad - steam will rise after just a few seconds. Now place the small lunchbox on the pad, close the lid of the large box and open the vent valve - done.
Enjoy hot
Your food will be hot after 15 to 30 minutes: liquids such as soup take around 15 minutes, pre-cooked dishes, meal prep or ready meals are warmed through after 30 minutes. To open, first open the freshness valve, then remove the lid with ease - no effort, no mess.
Grilling: How to BBQ So Simply and Quickly
Prep your grill box
Take your chilled food out of the lunchbox. Fill about one-third of the box with water, sand, or soil – this keeps fat and marinade from sticking to the base and makes cleanup a breeze.
Add and light the HEATRings
Insert the charcoal grid and place 12 HEATRings close together so they’re slightly touching. Light one ring in each corner – the heat spreads automatically.
Grill & enjoy
Place the grill grate on top. After around 5 minutes, the HEATRings will be evenly lit with a fine layer of white ash. That’s your cue to start grilling meat, veggies, or fish – and enjoy the moment.
